Our visitors arrived and are busy working at the Trampled Rose. We have six Americans who flew in to help. We need it. It’s also been a bunch of fun. they are working on teaching the women to knit, sew, and Debra and her team are cleaning out our storage areas. I think we are overwhelming the local staff a little by how much we can accomplish in one day. We Americans do love our quality use of time:)

I do have some very bad news. Kassa’s sister has been sick with TB. Kassa used every thing he had to help her medically. She spent one month in the hospital and we even found an American doctor to see her. Everyone said her lungs were getting better and she should improve soon. She passed on October 1 early in the morning.

Kassa and his family have been in mourning. I was able to be with Kassa and his wife quickly. Her name was Aster and she will be so missed. She has the most darling eight year old son. I’m not sure what was more heart breaking his mourning or that of her mother. It’s so unfair!!!

At the Trampled Rose we have just completed our second week of the new year of training. The ladies are so full of hope! It seems like we may have our systems in place and our staff working diligently. Or is this just part of the roller coaster ride?

I’m still waiting for the Ministry of Justice to agree that I am qualified to be the Founder of Women for Women. The truth is, as we all know, I’M NOT!!!!! But I just seem to be the most head strong available. I have a meeting to take all my Diplomas (okay I just have one) and proof of my business experience into the office next week. It just keeps life interesting.

By the way, do any of you know if ring worm is contagious?
