I bet you can guess by now that the Internet connections have been hard to get.

My time here has felt like magic. It seems like it is the season when I get to see the results of such hard work over time. Thank you for everyone who has been there telling me to keep going. I wish you could have felt my heart when I walked into our Beauty Salon and saw the women there doing hair. It seems like just yesterday we were telling them how to take a shower and use a toilet and now they are BUSINESS WOMEN!!!!!!

The tailoring shop is also a bright light. For decoration, they made some darling clothes out of construction paper. They are so cute that we are starting a new project to make them for sale. I guess the ideas will never end.

I have a funny story about today. I went to a wedding of a friend and an hour and a half after it was scheduled to start, I needed to get to work so I gave a man my card with a note on the back excusing myself to the wedding party. The man told me that he could not read cursive so would I please print it. I said to him that he really didn’t need to read it, just get it to the interested party. He gave me a knowing look and said, “Oooooo now I understand, it’s encoded.”

Personally life has been good. My husband made me a mop that could be transported in my suitcase and I have real Pine Sol. I feel like I’m at home. I’ve seen lots of my friends and I’m going to a Birthday Party tonight.

We celebrated our second year of being opened February 7. It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come from wanting to help just a few women personally to being a running and may I add effective NGO. Cheers for us!
