October 13th

I feel like a movie star. I had an interview this morning with the local television station (I will be on the news tonight) Then I am eating lunch with a woman I admire, Anne Clark, she is the wife of the ambassador of the European Community in Ethiopia and she is amazing in her own right. Then the ambassador of Spain and a woman from the Spanish Parliament are coming to visit the Trampled Rose. I had some time with them yesterday and I feel such respect for women who have done such big things. I wonder where they got their vision. Plus the sun is out and my house is clean. I think I’m on my way to a great day!

I went to Spanish Day at the Spanish embassy yesterday. Gosh, I think I want to be Spanish. The party started with lunch and continued into the night with singing. One man from Venezuela played a small guitar and the guest took turns singing. How fun!

Kassa is working now with the ladies who are opening a new beauty salon and I am on my way to work with the group that opened the restaurant. So far we have made about $20 this week. Not too bad:) Our other group is getting ready to start the chickens. We are just waiting for a batch to hatch.

More good news! My friend Martha is bringing me flea medicine today!!!!
