June 13, Tuesday:
Whew! The time is passing too quickly! I spent the most part of yesterday working with my friend Dr. Nathan doing some data entry on a HIV research project he is doing.
Saturday was wonderful! The day started with a staff meeting at the Trampled Rose. It is so nice to watch our new efficiency. Then I went to a BBQ at the Netherlands embassy. What very nice people and my friend Kristin (the ambassador’s wife) made me feel like a princess. She is so supportive of our help for the Fistula women and is such a strong woman herself. She is a hostess extraordinary. On Sunday I got to spend the day with my friends Veroni and Martie Kreiger and their daughter. They are originally from S Africa but go to my church in Colorado Springs. We went to church together and then enjoyed a very peaceful lunch on the patio of the Sheraton. Two other Americans joined us and we went to visit the Trampled Rose. It was so fun to share these special women with people I love and respect so much.
Tomorrow, Christina (from the French Embassy) is hosting a lunch for the Trampled Rose. She has invited the Ambassador’s Spouses Association to come. It’s so wonderful to have friends that care so much about the things I love.
As for now, I’m feeling LOTS of stress in my back. I think it’s time for a massage:)
